Description:
Originally built in 1926, this 15-story San Diego
Trust and Savings Bank building was reborn as
a 246 room Courtyard by Marriott.
The building is listed on the historical register,
which called for design approval by the Historical
Society. The project was a design-build for all
trades. The lobby is very ornate with gothic marble
columns, arches and antique brass hardware and
fixtures, all of which were restored and included
in the new design. The vaults in the basement
were restored, which now serve as meeting rooms.
