Description:
The SDSU co-generation plant is a design-build,
combined cycle facility producing both electricity
and steam. The project includes installation of
two 5.4mw Solar gas turbines and one 4mw steam
generator, which will produce a total output of
15mw. Power will be distributed to three of the
four substations on campus through paralleling
gear. The new facility will be the primary power
source for the campus with SDG&E providing
back up power.
