Sysco Foods, SAN DIEGO, CA
SCOPE OF WORK
This was a renovation and expansion of Sysco Foods’ San Diego warehouse and office facility.
The warehouse portion of this project included a freezer expansion of 39,500-square-feet, a new refrigeration evaporator penthouse with interior and exterior switchable lighting, a renovation of 2,000-square-feet of existing freezer space redesigned into an Ice Cream Room, and an expansion of the dry warehouse by approximately 50,000-square-feet.
The tenant improvement of the office space included construction of a new one-story building break room area, conversion of an existing large computer room into a break room with mailroom modifications, and the construction of one multi-purpose room to match other existing multi-purpose rooms.
VALUE DELIVERED
Dynalectric provided new lighting throughout the renovated and expanded areas, upgraded all utilities required for the expansion, and ensured the existing generator remained available for the expanded areas and load shedding procedures.
SOLUTIONS
It was vital that the construction process did not encroach into the existing racking clearances, aisles, and docks. Dynalectric ensured aisle width, flue space, and module size remained intact and unaffected by construction. In addition, the shut downs were carefully coordinated to ensure the facility was in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
