Naval Base Coronado P742 Bachelors Enlisted Quarters Coronado, California
SCOPE OF WORK
This project included the design, engineering and construction of a new 162,000-square-foot Bachelors Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) at Naval Base Coronado. The two, seven-story structures contain 264 living modules for military personnel and were constructed around a single story community center. The community center amenities include basketball and volleyball courts, an exercise par course, picnic tables, outdoor barbeque areas, and open air roof terraces.
This project was certified LEED Gold.
VALUE DELIVERED
Dynalectric was a design build partner on this project. As such various Preconstruction services were delivered on this project in the form of BIM and Prefabrication. Dynalectric provided electrical medium voltage primary and secondary unit substations, electrical distribution and branch wiring, fire alarm system, fire alarm mass notification system, telephone and data system, security system, community antenna television system and Naval Base Coronado utility control system.

BACKGROUND
BEQ Coronado was designated by the San Diego Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) as “Project of the Year” in 2013. This project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
