Kona Kai Resort, SAN DIEGO, CA

SCOPE OF WORK

This project included renovations and enhancements to the existing resort. This included remodeling 130 guestrooms, an addition of a Tiki Bar in the new transformed pool area, a new retail shell building and the addition of 7,200 square-foot state of the art “SpaTerre”.

VALUE DELIVERED

Dynalectric was able to renovate the existing hotel while day to day operations continued as usual without a single interruption to the guests or employees. This project was also completed on time and within budget.

BACKGROUND

The Kona Kai Club, a marina, originally opened in 1953 on Shelter Island and catered to high end yachts. As one of the original developments on the island, they opened the Kona Kai Inn next door in 1959. In 2013, the Kona Kai Resort and Spa began a top to bottom revitalization.
